1 tbsp Fresh Grated Orange Peel
1 tbsp Grated Almonds (about 4 almonds)
1 tbsp Ontario Honey
3 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil (Optional)
Add drops of Water as needed
[orange and almond facial scrub] This scrub will help exfoliate and cleanse the skin. It can be used on any skin type. Don't worry about the orange colour - it will not stain the skin.
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl, adding drops of water if needed to help it spread
Moisten face and neck with water first and apply the scrub to the face and neck using small circular motions
Rinse thoroughly and pat dry
Apply a moisturizing cream
8 oz (240 ml) Milk either Whole, Homogenized, Half and Half milk or Cream
3 Tbsp Ontario Honey
Mix the ingredients together and add to bath
Soak for 15 to 20 minutes
This bath is the only thing that really helps dry winter skin. Don't soak for more than 30 minutes or you will dry your skin too much. The oil will leave a little residue in the tub but the deep moisture it gives is long lasting and well worth it. This bath will stop dry itchy skin.
Beauty Treatment: Milk & Honey Body Mask
½ cup Warmed unpasteurized Ontario Honey
¼ cup Cream or Half and Half
1 raw egg
4 Vitamin E Caplets
20 drops Vanilla Extract (Optional)
20 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil (Optional)
[Milk & Honey Body Mask] The honey, cream and eggs in this recipe are rich in vitamins, protein and minerals. The Vanilla and Sweet Orange provide an exquisite rich aroma to this body mask.
Warm the honey by placing it in a heat proof glass in a pot of boiled water or heat for a few seconds in the microwave. Add the other ingredients and mix well. Snip the vitamin E caplets and squeeze out the oil. Mix well. Apply to your whole body with a paint brush. Use a sheet (which can be washed later) to cover yourself and relax 30 minutes while the body mask dries. Shower to remove the mask and pat dry with a towel.
